Celadon Serving Bowl

£68Celadon glaze

Big enough for a salad for six or a Sunday’s worth of potatoes. It sits on a small turned foot, so it looks lighter on the table than it is to carry.

3 left from this firing. Dispatched within 3 working days.

Fired twice. Thrown by hand. Yorkshire Dales. 1260°C. Two people. One kiln. 160 pieces a firing.

The glazeCeladon

A tiny amount of iron gives celadon its colour, and only if the kiln is starved of oxygen near the top of the firing. It pools darker in the curve of the bowl. We lose about one in five to pinholes, which is why there are never many.
